December 24, 2023 - Golden. Good mousse still. Citrus nose in the mandarin/orange spectrum. Tasting quite young but with a mandarin/orange peel oxidative edge that indicates quite mature champagne. Got better with airing. Probably a drink up proposition.

November 21, 2022 - Light golden - surprisingly light for the age. The mousse is somewhat subdued due to the age, but still a vital factor in the wine as a whole. Aromatics with fresh yellow apples, digestive biscuits and some citrus. Decent length. Excellent wine that has not given in to the otherwise dominant 2004 acidity.

February 13, 2021 - Fremdeles deilig. Initielt modne pærer, men etterhvert friskere smak av epler. Syrlig; rolige bobler. Jeg vet ikke hvor denne går, men drøyer nok ikke så lenge med min siste flaske.

December 11, 2020 - Popped and poured. Incredibly biscuity, brown bread and other baking spices. Notes of green then red apple soufflé, and perhaps a little nashi pear. Heavy on the lees if this is your style. Towards the end of its window, drink up.

April 29, 2020 - No notes at the time. I was very happy with this. I doubt that this will improve (depending on how you like your wines) but it should hold for a few more years yet.

January 30, 2020 - 2004 champagne horizontal (110 Taillevent London): Seemed quite mature, still freshness kicking though, sweeter touch, quite yeasty.

October 5, 2017 - I found another bottle at the supermarket! Lemon colour. Apple and a touch of brandy on the nose, but also quite lactic. Really racy, intense flavour, extraordinary acidity but plenty of weight too. Not as complex or elegant as the last bottle, although this tastes a lot younger. [Cork + cage; 12.5% abv; Sainsbury's, on offer at £35].

September 27, 2017 - Deep straw colour, steady mousse; biscuity, caramel notes; starting to broaden, toasty, refreshing acidity, retains a youthful bite; good definition on an extended length.
