September 6, 2014 - An interesting wine from a rare grape - Lagrein. Reminds me of a cross between a pinot (with the tar and slightly acrid notes), and a pinotage (with the slightly tart fruit notes). In a good way - longer than pinot, less rustic and full-bodied than the pinotage. I would drink again easily at this price point, perhaps with cheese.
