March 31, 2024 - Fruite moyen, pas de plus expressif, mais sans defaut. Sans vis, ni vertu

January 28, 2024 - Really cool to be drinking something thats over 40 years old. Having a relatively young cellar, it's always a treat finding stuff that already has significant age on it. Imported directly from the Château. The color on this is a deep amber, very seductive. Then nose had a touch of Cork smell at first which worried me but it blew off very quickly. What was left was rich peaches and apricots, honey, and a nutty smell. On the palate: candied peaches, some hay, almonds, honey, some pineapple and a very long finish. This was delicious!

November 27, 2023 - This pours pale amber in the glass. After just a little air the nose is soaring on this wine showing freshness and complexity. Aromas are of white mushroom, musky peach skin, paint thinner, mint blossom, creme brulee, fresh strawberry, white currant, chamomile tea, lemon hard candy, and a whiff of old furniture. The palate enters on bright white peach, and fresh pear, turning to high viscosity and bright, medium plus acid, that nicely balances the sugar. The mouthfeel here is impeccably balanced and is in no way cloying. The finish closes harmoniously on creme brulee, mint, and strawberry. All in all this is seriously great stuff, and perfectly balanced with genuine appeal and complexity. It manages to be mature without too much nutty oxidation or going metallic at all. Just beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable stuff.
