Community Tasting Notes 6

  • Alex G. Likes this wine:

December 15, 2018 - Opulent and dense, loads of fruit and the only knock against it is I suspect it’s approaching peak despite its youth - color is dark and it’s about as expressive as one could imagine. Drink up soon.

  • Alex G. Likes this wine:

November 20, 2018 - Crowdpleasing rich style, dense and sweet. Not as precise nor long as the best from this appellation, but I wouldn’t let these age to find out how they’ll develop - color is already pretty dark for such a young wine. In sum, this is delicious if not profound. Drink up.

  • Alex G. Likes this wine:

August 8, 2018 - Round and approachable, balanced, medium finish. Others at the table were more impressed with this than I was. I thought it to be enjoyable but not profound. Drink up, don't see this getting better, and wouldn't surprise me if it fell apart in the next year or two.

May 20, 2017 - Well integrated, passion fruit, hay, peach on the nose, accessible, nice long finish.

December 18, 2016 - Mostly Côte de Beaune Whites and Reds (SF Wine Trading Company): Medium yellow. Rich, toasty nose. Medium to full bodied, mouth coating glycerine and obvious wood. Trace of citrus but really not much fruit or acidity, making it fairly dull. Last impression is also one of oak. I don't get it.
