March 2, 2024 - Big, thick rich black cherry fruit with blood iron on the nose; similar palate; tannins noted immediately on opening and decant are now mostly resolved 5 hours later; this is excellent with impeccable balance! Still going strong. 94+.

April 22, 2012 - Wonderful wine, drinking beautifully now! This went up against a 1993 Chambertin and was easily the better wine to drink now. Heady and complex with deep fruit, earth and barnyard, and notes of anise and tar. Rich and full in the mouth and a long, lingering finish.

December 31, 2011 - A spectacular wine! For a 1995, it is only showing slight signs of age. This one will last! Elegant nose of earth and red fruits, perfectly balanced, rich full mouthfeel, and a superb finish - just excellent!
