January 25, 2017 - {screwcap} This is a dry and dusty thing. Has a wannabe aura about it, all assertive and buttoned-down cabernet fruit, but seems to lack depth and freshness, even fruit as well. Instead it just has a desiccated character about it; doesn't seem too alcoholic (wears a show label - I don't know the claimed %) but is somehow dry beyond its years, despite only medium dusty tannins. Doesn't really taste unripe, but with its short-medium finish lacks vibrancy. Not convincing somehow.
