December 31, 2017 - Decanted around 5pm then tasted over the next 4-5 hours. Medium to dark garnet with no real sign of age. Big, rich and bold with the heavy oak mostly integrated. In addition to the black fruit, there is tobacco, chocolate and leather. Pretty consistent over the evening and while good at the first pour, it is richer and fruitier after some time to breathe (1-3 hours)

March 20, 2016 - Just lovely. Needs at least two hours of air, then it rewards with complexity and elegance. Very smooth, with firm supporting acids. Lots of life left in this beauty.

December 2, 2012 - Drinking fabulously now. The cabernet franc has receded a bit, leaving a harmonious blend of cab franc and merlot. On the nose, currant and blackberry, with notes of coffee, flowers, and dill. Silky in the mouth, washing smoothly over the palate with restrained notes of currant, unsweetened cocoa, coffee, and a touch of menthol. Big enough to pair with hearty dishes but not overpowering in any way.
