June 22, 2019 - Beautiful interne yellow color, white fruit, citrus, beautiful acids with m minor sweet background. great length. As always, high quality.

    BoW 17.5/20

May 25, 2014 - Very round and hefty. Had such intensity of tropical fruits on the palate with little-to-no acidity. Made it feel a bit flabby. The purity and intensity of the fruit were this wine's strength.

May 25, 2014 - Sunday Funday (Chicago, IL): Not my style of German wine. It was very, very big. Not cloying or greasy but a bit too low in acid to keep something of this size together.

September 29, 2013 - I was deeply impressed; the 2009 Pechstein trocken GG is an extremely elegant and also poweful wine. In the bouquet the perfume shows only pure and ripe riesling with a perfect acidity, than in the mouth the front of the wine is again the same pure riesling but than starts the oily super perfumed viognier (tasted blind). At least that was what I have thought the first time when my friend Loek showed me this wine, a few months ago. With this tasting I had the same impresssion.
The riesling grape is so ripe and so concentrated, but still so refined that the concentration goes happily not further than I described.
The aftertaste of this wine is long and one great pleasure.
