Its the wine I would expect if Grant Taylor made a Central Otago shiraz, but not what I expected from this master of pinot noir. Very enjoyable if you are seeking a tasty, well made red wine. Less so if you plan on drinking fine pinot noir.

March 7, 2014 - Friday Night Double Blind $30+ (Bin 75): See through dull ruby; sweet and confected, spice, dark sour cherry, perfumed, slight Cola, straightforward Pinot; light body, sour and tart dark fruit, vanilla and spice, spritzy finish; decent though too modern for me; called Central Otago Pinot.
