Community Tasting Notes 10

November 21, 2016 - Color: You cannot see through the wine. When you swirl the wine you see a dull red-greyish hue with a slightly brownish tone. Still youthful at first glance but not when you swirl the wine. Nose: Oranges, beewax and cherries. Mouth: Nice expressive cherries. Nice but not offensive grip from the tannins. Fresh but very well integrated acidity. 14.5% alc. but well hidden. At the peak of its evolution I would say but can be put away for some more years.

March 27, 2016 - Compared to the 2007 vintage, one of my favourite wines, this is much less developed an more vegetal and tannic. Still, well balanced and enjoyable to drink, eith a flowery bouwuet and long aftertaste. It will be interesting to see how it develops in thecoming years.

January 7, 2016 - From 75cl, good cork. Something distinctly off-colour about this; a yeasty, bread-dough-like smell and taste. NR

November 3, 2015 - From 75cl, good cork. Much better on 2nd day, by when its brutal tannic concentration had yielded to massive, dark, deliciously ripe, raspberry/blackberry fruit. Big and bold, good for a few more years. 89P

August 4, 2015 - Vermelho rubi intenso e brilhoso, reflexos violáceos. Fruta negra, notas cozidas e mineralidade discreta. Ataque mais pronunciado, vinho mais vivo. Especiado, com camadas de boa fruta begra cortadas por taninos granulados. 90 GGP
