October 14, 2018 - Much better than before. Even better on the second day. Everything has smoothed out. Again, as before, I wouldn't peg anything as "Spanish", but it's a delicious wine. Initially, on opening, I sensed a sharpness of acid that was a distraction. D didn't notice it as much and liked it from the start. In 10 minutes, that had dissipated, and it turned into a fine, balanced wine... one dominated by dark flavors and a broad bottom. Worked well with food (a spicy shredded pork concoction). Much better overall than before.

February 15, 2018 - Perfectly pleasant wine, but not identifiable. I'd be hard pressed to point out anything that is "Spanish". Good dark fruits. Balanced acids and tannins.
