March 13, 2024 - Strong and powerful, long flavour profile. Typical of the region.

February 2, 2022 - This is pretty much as I remember it from 15 Dec 2020 but with perhaps slight improvement over the 13 months. This time I pulled the cork 2 hours before tasting. Immediately, from the bottle, it's very fruity on the nose. In the glass this is replicated, and the color is a very deep red. Gone was the forward oak; dark fruit was quite opulent; acidity was medium; and tannins were silky soft. The balance is quite beautiful; mid-palate is satisfying and the finish is endless. This will probably still keep nicely for another 5 years.

December 15, 2020 - When first opened, the nose was fruit forward. This wasn't decanted but poured from the bottle and consumed over two days. Color is a very deep red with no signs of aging and there is minimal sediment. On first tasting, this is all oak. Gradually, after about 30 minutes in the glass, rich dark fruits emerge which push the oak into the background. This is very well extracted, with medium acidity and pleasantly firm tannins that can pack the cheeks. Finish is long and has a slightly bitter tinge at the end. It appears to be in prime drinking window now, and I would expect at least another 5 years pleasurable drinking ahead. There is not a lot more that I could ask from a wine, and price was reasonable.

March 8, 2019 - Ok. Not great but ok.

May 22, 2017 - Really good RDD. V dark ( almost black) lovely nose with a hint of port but not overly alcoholic. Rich long flavour without being cloying. Lots of dark fruit and well integrated tannins ( now). Long with a fine finish. Really please I waited for this. It has plenty of structure and can last, not sure how much more it will improve however
