Community Tasting Notes 2

December 11, 2013 - More vibrant than the 2012 Broadley Pinot, with a little more fruit up front, spicy/earthy notes, medium body, good balance. Some bitterness on the finish which may ease with more time in the bottle. Good food wine.

October 3, 2013 - the eternal quest to find my 'house' pinot - a young Oregon Pinot between $14 and $19 that I pour regularly, casually, and always enjoy. Nominees are usually Broadley, Grochau, and all comers. This Hamacher H is an early release 2012 and points to the promise of the vintage. Opaque red in glass, Raspberry and Blackberry fruit on nose and in mouth. Ready to enjoy for next three years. "H" is more of a contender than in previous years for me.
