September 27, 2018 - Exquisite balance. Apples, caramel, earth and spice on the nose. Bittersweet taste, sort of honey then tannin, and a hint of spice at the end. Excellent.

October 11, 2017 - (At Rich Table in San Francisco.) Very dry and showing strong volatile acidity. Drinks like an extremist Chianti. Great with rich foods thus.

March 14, 2015 - Nose: jammy, compote, black tea.
Palate: bright fruit, leather, currant, cherry, high acid, high tannin, black tea, mint spice.

Unique wine, big tea notes, the nose is very jammy. Bit lighter and nuanced on palate.
