October 8, 2013 - Showing its age at the rim but still good colour here, not watery at all; A tertiary nose of dried fruits and spices, some rich cherry and red berry fruit still here surprisingly, more so as it opens up; smooth silky palate, tannins are like gossamer at this age, good ripe core of fruit still. I have to say this is a real surprise and a rare bottle indeed. A little heat on the finish.
