January 15, 2021 - Mendocino forest floor, orange peel, raspberry, cocoa, toffee, herbs with gorgeous coastal fog-like salinity and balanced acidity. Typical of the appellation and one of the best we’ve had yet from Toby. Decanted for an hour.

December 17, 2020 - Slow o'ed for about 90 minutes. The nose is lovely: just ripe cherries, warm baking spices, very light pine, a hint of rose. Very fine tannins. Falls apart a bit on the finish: some VA that lingers and isn't entirely pleasant. Disappointing.

April 25, 2020 - Enjoyable but noticeable alcohol on the bouquet and the finish on the palate were disappointing. Expressive nose on first sniff, but a little hot at the end. Perhaps too much time in barrel before racking and bottling. A favorite producer that we will go back to and still a nice effort.
