September 2, 2019 - Solid older Burg. Nice but not exceptional perfume, decent length, medium complexity.

December 10, 2017 - Perfumed, rounded, perfectly aged.

May 24, 2014 - corked. The cork in this bottle looked new - perhaps a recondiitoned bottle from the cellars? If so, not to its advantage. It was vigorous and dense, more tannic then other examples I have had. A shame since this is usually a very relaible, traditional burg.

December 20, 2012 - Earth, black soil, on the nose and then intensely perfumed red strawberry licorice. Youthful and vibrant, with still quite some structure here, an acidic core that belies the fact these grapes were crushed over nineteen years ago. Definitely has a distinct earthiness that I have come to associate with Morot, can likely improve with more bottle time, and has both pure and lingering red pinot fruit and an overall intensity.

September 22, 2012 - Nice, rustic, old-school burg. Great chicken liver yakitori pairing. As others have said, give it an hour or two of air.
