January 28, 2019 - This is a delightful Givry with lots of earthy, dark red fruit, sous bois, Asian spice and violet notes. The tannins are still abit on the firmish side, but overall, quite nice and drinking beautifully with just abit of air and at $20 a bottle, this has an extraordinary qpr.

December 18, 2016 - This is a very nice village Givry with lots of earthy, dark red fruit and brambly underbrush, all in a fairly rustic format with chalky tannins in ththe midlength finish.

April 21, 2015 - I really enjoyed this Givry. It's my first Givry, actually and it made me reconsider my skepticism for the Côte Chalonnaise. The nose has a great deal of earth and ripe, red fruit. The palate bursts with ripe cherries and raspberries, followed with some earthiness. For $20 this is a textbook example of a great value in red Burgundy that can still be found and enjoyed.

On the second day, however, this turned nearly undrinkable unexpectedly. Enormously enjoyable on Day 1 suggests to me this is one you should consume in one sitting.

February 10, 2015 - This is a very nice village Givry. It's simple, earthy and fairly rustic, but is quite enjoyable for a $19 red burg.
Revisited at around 5 hours and picked up just abit more depth.

December 22, 2013 - Medium red, clear. A little funk on the nose, strawberry, black tea. Medium tannins, but low acidity, which throws off the balance a little. Light on the palate, with blueberry, raspberry, licorice. Medium finish. This is nice for the price.
