February 19, 2021 - Enjoyable and after forgotten in the cellar surprisingly good. On the dry side of Ca Chardonnay with oak still present, but softer.

April 21, 2019 - A nice well balanced wine with tropical fruit and well integrated oak. Pineapple and vanilla in a lovely combination

August 25, 2017 - A year after the end of the drinking window according to the community and still perfect. Certainly an excellent quality/price ratio for an American chardonnay and has more in commun with a niche Chablis than with the average Napa chardonnay.

March 25, 2017 - A very good CA Chardonnay. A nice mix of minerality, tropical fruit and just the right amount of oak on the nose. The palate had the same tropical fruit balanced nicely with acidity and a beautiful buttery flavour that you expect from a Cali Chard. Overall, one of my favourite Chardonnay's. I will definitely pick up another bottle to have in the cellar for this summer.

September 11, 2016 - Crisp minerality and lemon zest on the nose. Buttery oak, fresh lemon, with firm balanced acidity. Lengthy full finish

    Balanced flavors.

February 17, 2016 - Full oak Chardonnay flavour and well done. Tonight matched with chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese & roasted garlic. Outstanding.

January 10, 2016 - Stags leap has always been one of my favorite California Chardonnays in this price range. This was similar to my last note in 2014. It was pale yellow and a little fruit forward with citrus on the nose and apple, peach & pear with a little oak on the front palate. There was a little vanilla and toast for the medium finish.

January 8, 2016 - Mostly California (Hos Martin): Massive aroma with butter and oak à la Mersault. Intense on the palate, with a solid amount of oak. Some alcohol in the finish, nice acidity.
For me, the oak is too dominant.
