December 12, 2013 - This is one of the more interesting wines I've had in a while (I LOVE interesting). 2010 Narrow Gate Vineyards Syrah Viognier blend. That's a red grape and a white grape blended together.

There's a lot going on in this glass and I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it. It has an great nose, lots of things going on on the palate (dark fruits and plums), and it's still a bit young. But very seamless, even with everything that's happening in the glass.

I don't know if it's the biodynamic farming methods (seems pretty weird to me) or Frank is a master blender, but this stuff is pretty awesome for the Sierra Foothills (nowhere near NAPA- yes I'm a Napa snob). 93+ points on the "Bob Scale".

I have one more of these, but I need to pick up more so I can sample them as they age.
