November 22, 2013 - Deep purple color with red highlights. Subdued savory scent profile. Savory on the palate with dark plummy fruit and a nice tannic grip on the finish. A well stored bottle that has lost its intense fruit but has not yet developed a lot of secondary characteristics. Aggressive swirling brings out black pepper scents. Should continue to improve from here but nice enough now. Best with a nice piece of beef or lamb.

June 7, 2013 - Very interesting flavors. Fruit has gone leaving complex herbal flavors. Tannins are a bit too rough.

November 28, 2009 - Intense menthol, eucalytpus with blueberries and smoky herbal notes. Less lush than previous bottles, it was still delicious, but should be drunk over the next year.

November 19, 2008 - This wine surprised me. Wonderfully distinct nose of camphor/menthol... more of the same on the palate along with red berries... excellent value.
