May 26, 2019 - This a modernist take on Barolo. It is more rich than ethereal. The nose is cherry and the hot tar of a driveway in summer. On the palate it taste like the way the bark of a cherry tree smells when cut or scratched, sort of a fresh stemmy almond extract. Still lively with noticeable but balanced tannin and acid. My preference is Barolos that are lighter and more aromatic but this is good tasting bottle of wine.

March 30, 2019 - Five years since the last bottle and the notes are nearly identical. Crimson color with light bricking. Varietally correct, and very nice, aromas of cherries, roses, tar, mint, and black tea. Light to medium bodied, high acid, medium finish, and flavors of cherry, black tea, and leather. Tannins are smoother than last time though. Perfect with pizza tonight and I'd say it's drinking well right now, but no real rush either. Solid QPR at the $25 paid.

February 16, 2019 - When first opened bottle, there were complex smell and flavors of tea leaves, wood, cherry and leather with medium-long finish; color was crimson and rust that clung to glass. After decanting for over 2 hours, the tannins softened and drank smoothly with additional flavors of vanilla, and a long finish. Aged well.

Okay. I seem to recall liking previous bottles better, but this bottle seems marked by the heat of the vintage, as it comes across somewhat ripe & unfocused.

Good acidity given the vintage - nothing stellar, but a pretty decent current drinker while your 2010's mature.
