December 28, 2019 - Very nice--glad i waited. Smooth, but still vibrant with food. nice dusty tannins, dark raisiny fruit, underlying minerals and earth.

February 10, 2016 - Lots of plum and black currant with a hint of blackberry on the front of the palate. Some tannins and reediness on the back end. Long, drying finish.

February 10, 2015 - Lovely complexity, rich fruit palette with blackberry and cassis. Soaring finish and silky tannins. Franc is not particularly prone to this kind of lushness, obviously the vineyard management is top drawer and Doug has done his job well...

October 12, 2014 - Interesting wine here. A nose of pretty oak, prunes, musk, creme de cassis. Some oaky weight on the palate with a some earth and a touch of tannis on the finish. Balanced wine for the most part but probably needs some time in the cellar to round out the edges.
