November 5, 2016 - Nose of burnt cherries
first taste was fruity and apple-ish.
with an hour of breathing, this became like a melange of red table grapes and bing cherries. Slightly pithy finish, which I am guessing is the tannins still pushing grape peel and stem sensations. So after the aeration, this became extraordinarily smooth and strawberry-like. Cannot believe this drugstore plonk could age so well. DRINK IT NOW if you still have a bottle knocking around. -
