Community Tasting Notes 8

July 9, 2021 - Kaffir lime, slate, hints of petrol, kumquat on the nose. Bone dry and stony on the palate with citrus pith, more stoniness, oyster shell, and apricot pit. Chiseled and toothsome with gum tingling acidity. This has Muscadet like texture and feel to it. The warmth of the vintage seems to have softened the acidity and worked better maintaining balance. Still not for the faint of heart. At peak for me.

November 22, 2018 - Razor sharp acidity. Apricot, bitter lemon flavors. Bone dry- a bit more sweetness would have allowed this to pair better with Thanksgiving dishes.

    October 29, 2016 - White flowers, mineral.......

July 23, 2015 - What a wonderful bottle of wine. The wine evolved over the course of the evening. It initially had a very high but nice acidity, which mellowed somewhat over a few hours. The nose had notes of green apple, with a slate filled palate. If I could find this wine, I would easily buy a case. Very highly recommended

December 30, 2013 - This is a tremendous effort. Color: light golden yellow; Nose: Lanolin, lemon olive oil, green apple, apricots, and crushed rocks; Palate: Rich style with good acidity and minerality. Dry with a salivating finish.
This is much better when closer to room temp. than chilled.
