April 25, 2015 - Noticeable notes of vanilla from the oak. Dark berry jam and raisin notes on the palette with some licorice spice on the finish. Velvety in the mouth; more California than Oregon.

July 30, 2013 - Willamette Valley Oregon Trip 4 & 1/2 Days; 7/29/2013-8/4/2013 (Willamette Valley, Oregon): Dark red color. Earthy, dry, spicy, briary, mineral, firmer tannins. This has a nice nose, but the palate while nicely textured gives way to sharper edges on the finish that detract. I'm not sure that this will round much more. 88-89pts.
