May 22, 2021 - Crimson fading to rose; rim variation consistent with age. Very good clarity, but some sediment evident. Medium legs. Aromas are dark fruit forward: blackberry, blueberry, black currant. Just a hint of plum, but no dried fruit. On the palate, dark fruits maintain and a hint of dust emerges. The tannins are fruit, no wood detected. And there's just a bit of cinnamon and chocolate on the palate, very subtle. Medium to full body. Smooth, almost silky texture. Medium + finish, medium - acidity. Impression: varietally correct, aged well. Even in 2011, one can find good Cabernet in CA. At $33 with tax & shipping, QPR is below average. At $20-$25 I'd buy again. Drink now.

December 26, 2013 - Vinegar taste and smell. Decent finish. Could have been a bad bottle but drank poorly next to Bordeaux and howell cab at 2013 Xmas wine tasting.
