September 17, 2015 - Three years in barrel protected from oxidation by a film of flor yeast. Oxidative, green apple, fino-like nose. On the palate, it's pungent, high acidity, medium body, medium finish.

September 6, 2014 - Lovely complex nose. This has pear, cider, toffee apple, hazelnuts and brazil nuts. The acidity is powerful, but the balance is not affected. It's also slightly sour - but not in bad way (like a much more sophisticated and fine version of sour apple sweets). Having already spent four years in barrel, this could no doubt benefit from more time. It's drinking very well now, and if you like wines with serious tension and energy you'll love this right now, but I would expect this to gain more smoothness and to open out, revealing more subtle, mellower flavours with age. Good value at 22 euros.
