    February 22, 2024 - Pale garnet
Med intensity on the nose, toasty, red cherry, cinnamon, underbrush, roses, nutty, developing.
Dry, high acidity, med+ alcohol, med tannins, med body, med+ intensity, leafy, woody, baking spice, black olive, med+ finish.
Overall, this is a very good wine. Velvety texture reminds me of bon fervere from oragon. Not a typical newzealand style pinot but delicious.

August 9, 2023 - BYO bottle over lunch at RTC. Tasted blind. Drank in Grassl 1855.
Guessed as >10 year old NZ Pinot Noir. Almost spot on.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of ripe dark red cherries, red plums. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of savoury earth, stony minerality, red plums, sweet dark red cherries, sweet spices. Long spicy finish.
Very good quality. Has some savoury aged character already on the palate, though not so obvious yet on the nose. Can still develop a few more years.

May 5, 2023 - Drinking well. Bright red fruit with hints of pine and cedar upon opening. Opens up to add some complexity with black Cherry and blueberry notes. Medium- bodied with high acidity and medium tannin and alcohol.

    January 7, 2023 - Middag Lund
Kryddig och mer mogen frukt jmfrt med Hirsch och Poissenot. Rostade toner, lite kaffe.
Maffig kropp, inte lika slank som de andra två. Avrundade tanniner. Sötfruktigt avslut. Bra balans.
