Community Tasting Notes 13

YMMV.

September 26, 2020 - Decanted at 6pm and tasted repeatedly over 5 hours. This was a little disappointing. Slightly green on the nose along with florals, herbs and some “crunchy” red fruit. Palate has bright acidity but a slightly bitter finish and a distinct celery note on the finish that lingers which took a friend who is a “super-taster” and I some time to specifically identify and confirm with a crisp stalk from the refrigerator. Pleasant and bright, light to medium bodied but neither elegant nor rich in texture. A less than stellar vintage may explain it.

September 24, 2018 - This was good—rather dense on palate, purple color, starts a bit cab franc green, but with air builds into more rounded, black fruited wine. Still balanced and fresh. Recommend. Best of this domaine’s wines I’ve had.

April 1, 2018 - Cassis and blackberry on the nose. After two hours, smoked bacon as well.
Young and fresh in acidity and tannins.
Not sure what else, didn't take any formal notes and it was a week ago.
    We liked it a lot.

November 4, 2017 - this wine was ridiculously young with great structure, still tannic though not in an unpleasant way, needs food
