Community Tasting Notes 3

November 5, 2020 - A bit whiffy on the nose. Earthy, with tobacco, tar and licorice. It takes a little getting used to but it certainly has character.

April 22, 2016 - This bottle smells a little earthy with a little tobacco and licorice on the nose. Medium to full bodied on the palate and quite jubey with some firm tannins providing length at the end.

June 28, 2015 - Unusual wine. Deep purple in colour and it smells quite jubey with a touch of eucaluptus. Big on fruit and is fills the mouth which would be too much except for an underlying greenness - some whole bunch perhaps? There are some hints of cinnamon and anise as well. Perhaps slightly hotter than ideal on the finish, there is no shortage of oak presence either. This is certainly an interesting wine, but quite hard to rate. It will be interesting to see how this develops
