Community Tasting Notes 2

  • Capt Cutlass Does not like this wine: 79 points

October 20, 2013 - Blind tasted. Rich nose with plums and chocolate and above all tons of alcohol. Some dry tannins on the palate with black currant but the alcohol (14.5%) is totally out of balance and overpowering and I don't see this ever getting resolved. Undrinkable for me but someone might get a kick out of it...

October 15, 2013 - A challenge of expression :the Empyreumatic flavours in the wine. (Marseille, France): Superb nose of brown sugar, cherry, blond tobacco, obvious grenache. Powerfull and expressiv.Mouth young, full bodied, dominated by the structure mostly the alcohol. still the burned notes are present. Difficult to rate, but less fine than the vieilles vignes 2006 from the same producer.
