September 16, 2020 - Minerality, Less fruity forward. medium body, velvety tannins. Complex aroma with some vinegar/acetone and tertiary characters from age. long finish.

Update:2nd bottle Jan 2020 - much better - aroma of black fruity, hints of oak in flavor. medium to full body and soft tannins. complex flavors as previously mentioned. No vinegar/acetone as noted above. Maybe a bad bottle. Very well balanced with fruit and acid and body. Tannins have integrated well with age. I plan to finish my other two bottles soon (not worth keeping and is at prime/past prime). Changing from 88 to 90

Update: sadly my last and I will miss the smooth mouth coating tannins and so much flavor. surprised it didn't get as many top reviews or maybe its the age. Updating to 92.

January 27, 2018 - Although drink dates are past, the wine is holding up fine. It is not green at this point and does display complexity and body.

May 21, 2016 - Somewhat green and a bit thin; some secondary cedary notes. OK, nothing special.

August 3, 2014 - Plums, figs and a wonderful long peppery finish. A bit hot. Could use at least another year.

June 11, 2014 - Just a touch of green on the aromatics and then red fruit, good structure, solid workin' cabernet. If its $16 it kicks the pants off of most Bordeaux.
