October 29, 2015 - Scary bottle night at PWS. This was my contribution to the pool, and while I wasn't expecting a blockbuster, this bottle showed exceedingly well, with many saying it was their favorite. While not a knockout in fruit and body, it did show well as a solid bordo, with cedar and spice and everything nice.

March 8, 2014 - Best of the 03s tasted. Ernie liked, very good, seemed younger than the others, balanced, long finish, can hold a while.

February 1, 2013 - Classic Bordo, good luscious fruit wrapped in fine tannin and a backbone of spice and leather. A very nice effort, and this could go a couple more years nicely, although it's ready now.

October 22, 2011 - A beautifully balanced wine, plenty of stuffing in this classic Bordo. Cassis, a little leather and tobacco, with ripe mature plum fruit. Luscious.
