  January 11, 2024 - An overachiever. I figured it would be solid but this really surpassed expectations...particularly for a weekday wine with pizza no less. Perfect amount of fruit and acid...2010 is the best vintage of the last 20 years at this point in time. Strawberries, a beautiful nose. Only complaint is lack of length on the palette but this was excellent. Shame I'll never see it again. Ah, our beloved burgundy wines.

  February 22, 2015 - I just love this wine. Great price value performer - especially considering it is Burgundy. Very complex nose - brambly red and dark fruit. Great minerals (wet stone and limestone) and juicy acidity on the palate. Nice spice, too - baking spices. Still has some grippy tannin that needs to resolve - at this pace, I'll drink all of them before they are truly at the peak. Very, very nice wine. Great upside!

  January 9, 2014 - 2014 Pinot Project continues.
  Color is a beautiful light ruby.
  Nose: red fruit with hints of forest floor earthiness. There is the slightest hint of ... raw meatiness?? (in a good way)
  Palate: lots of red fruit on the attack. Almost a fruit bomb. Beautiful acid and long finish. The tannins exist as a background providing structure but stay completely in the background. The finish lingers and fades gently.
