October 5, 2023 - Absolutely fantastic, starting to show some age-appropriate oxidation and lactic richness, magnificent acidic structure and subtle tropical fruit…a very balanced and harmonious wine in a great place with upside.

August 15, 2020 - The cool, classically Chablisien nose on Jean-Claude Bessin's 2012 Forêt offers an appealing bouquet of lemon, white flower, and oyster shell. A medium full body gives this a bit more heft than expected but there's enough fruit and mineral oomph to find decent balance. Ripe acidity. The citric finish shows good length. Good now but no rush.

November 13, 2018 - This is a delightful 1er Cru Chablis with exuberant aromas of cool green and stone fruit, nori, oyster shell and nutmeg, all of which carry through to the palate along with firm minerality and a crisp acidic core.

March 26, 2018 - Really nice tonight almost immediately after opening with lots cool green and stone fruit, firm oyster shell minerality, some nutmeg undertones and a clean, midlength finish. Very nice and an excellent qpr for its level.
