July 23, 2022 - Enjoyed with the 2011 OP&OH, the Rosehill is brighter, fresher and more youthful in colour. Fresher again on the nose with berry, soil and Hunter earth subdued under glossy Shiraz fruit, still a touch primary. Long generous finish. Keep for 2026 if your serious but lovely now. 18.

August 28, 2021 - Bright ruby red colour. Soft and subdued nose with a slight green character on the nose. Great fruit with perfect body and mouthfeel - round, soft and smooth finishing with a mellow, silky dry finish. Great match with slow-cooked beef ribs.

August 18, 2021 - Medium dark red colour with lovely tears on the glass. Simple clean Hunter shiraz fruit nose. Light with a medium dry finish and lingering red fruit. Nice mouthfeel without being too heavy. Refeshing with beautiful light shiraz fruit. Very welcoming. Drinking beautifully with more time yet in the bottle. Decantered for 1 hour under another COVID lockdown.

June 8, 2021 - Graphite, smoke and a touch of green that promises much on the nose. The palate has sour cherry, spice and a hint of tar on the back palate. The acid matches the tannins quite well. The wine is certainly in its drinking window right now. A lighter and elegant expression of Hunter shiraz and none the worse for it.

January 11, 2020 - Light, bright red colour. Light earthy nose. Light body with a simple silky dry finish. Not a complex wine and typical of an old style Hunter shiraz.
