March 9, 2024 - Presents as a couple years past peak drinking, but no question there’s some quality here. Typical 2012 restrained fruit personality, tons of the Ribbon Ridge brown spice, molasses, and an astringent finish that’s kinda hollow in terms of fruit at this stage—if only you could turn back the clock.

June 11, 2020 - Medium to medium-dark reddish garnet in color with a slight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe cherries, blueberries & strawberries with overtones of floral notes of violets & spices, earthy/dusty, tea, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & mulberries with spices, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak. Drinks quite well & although is accessible at present, it may develop slightly with another few years of additional aging.

December 21, 2017 - This bottle did take a couple of hours to open up, but once it did it proved to be a very nice, well balanced pinot. The red fruit blends nicely with earth and spice to make a excellent wine. Now I am really interested in trying the 2014 we have in the cellar.

August 10, 2017 - P/w 1 hr. decant. Clear, med/dark purple. Nice nose. Great example of middle intensity OR Pinot. Definitely not light or fruity, blind would have guessed RRV. Red/black fruit, good balance, integrated. Med finish. Super value, nothing off. $23
