May 30, 2014 - A very approachable wine now which has many years ahead of it. Not much subtlety in the nose or palate but plenty of robust dark fruit notes and a lingering aftertaste. Slightly different style to the 2010 which IMO required some time in the bottle. A fabulous wine for the price.

April 29, 2014 - Wow - this is really something, especially on day 2. The nose is beautifully savoury, with crushed rocks, briar and dried herbs, but there is a balanced, blackberry and tobacco leaf as well.
The palette is soft and full of chewy acidity with some delicate tannins and an intense, berry finish.
This is a really good example of why Eden Valley Shiraz should get more attention than it does. Balanced, complex and well-executed.1 person found this helpful Comment
