August 20, 2010 - Raspberries and blackberries, medium tannins, short finish.

August 8, 2010 - Just enough tannins left to enjoy with a steak. Hint of peppermint on the nose with warm leather raspbberries and blackcurrant on the palate. Very gentle almost too timid mouthfeel. Two years too late on this bottle but very enjoyable nonetheless.

September 22, 2009 - Easy drinking oregon pinot. Medium body, nice fruit, above average finish. Seems to be drinking well now.

January 9, 2008 - My opinion changes on this wine each time I drink it. It is getting smoother with age, and starts out well enough on the palate, but is too tannic on the finish.

February 19, 2007 - Ruby color but not brilliant or deep, some brick color around the edges. Indistinct nose with some black pepper and oak - not much fruit. Hot and sharp on the tongue. Not much fruit and some vague Pinot flavors in the taste with lots of oak. Tannin and tea finish. Not much in the way of balance.

Notes from two days later on 2/21/2007
Two days latter and this was a different wine. The heat and sharpness had dropped out. The fruit had come forward. The tannin had come down to a level where the wine was enjoyable balanced. It makes me wish I had another bottle that I could open 5 or 10 years from today. Two days later this wine would re-score in the mid 80's.
