February 10, 2016 - Wow! I have tasted the 05' and 08' vintage, but This is the most complex of theese. Distinctive Soil - strawberries, raspberries and mocca. Really powerful, and complex wine with long aftertaste. Just approx 3000 bottles according to Bibi Graetz. Buy!

May 29, 2014 - Tasted at Vinexpo HK. Again I have tasted more than 20 reds in Italian booths, this is the best and most elegant and complex even it is 2008. I wish I could drink a full bottle.

April 14, 2014 - Tenzing Portfolio Tasting (Untitled - Chicago, IL): Absolutely stunning. So elegant and harmonious. Strong aromatics of spice box, earth and peppery fruit. Layers upon layers of currants, fresh leather, dirt road and purple flowers.
Easily the wine of the tasting. A pleasant surprise to be able to sample this rare bottling.

February 11, 2014 - James Suckling/Zachy's Super Tuscany Tasting (City Winery (Varick Street in NYC)): This was just completely locked up. We took a bit of a break after this tasting and I gave it more like 10 minutes to start to open up some, but even with that it was just barely showing some additional flavors. It was tasty and perhaps if I hadn't seen the retail price of $599 I would be more positive, but didn't see anything to justify that level.

February 10, 2014 - Bibi Graetz Tasting (SD26, New York, NY): From 1.5L. Equal parts Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Colorino, this is supposedly a cuvée of the best single barrel from each of those grapes. Really, though, this is an oak-laden fruit bomb that that costs $618 per bottle wholesale! As one of my friends said, "This tastes like a $25 retail Chilean Cab." If I had paid for this taste—to say nothing of a bottle!—I'd be appalled. Even if it were $50 per bottle I'd have found nothing to like. Rated -1 on a scale of -1 to 3.
