Community Tasting Notes 8

March 3, 2023 - Decanted for a fair amount of fine sediment. Wild strawberry, baking spice, rhubarb and some tertiary mushroom. Bit of a carbonic element. Nice, but time to drink up.

May 28, 2018 - Black berries and cherry with subtle spice and some roasted meat. Good weight, length and depth. Not quite as interesting as the Goldschmidt.

April 27, 2017 - Very good overall. Black and red berries, coming across as nicely mature and ripe, complemented with enough spice and structure.

April 23, 2016 - Ripe and mature red and black berries with a hint of liqueur and nice floral hints. Ripeness is balanced by good acidity, overall good balance.

May 1, 2010 - Time to try this again. Upon opening a lot of sulphur on nose. Pretty tight. Needs to breath at least 30 mins. Earthy with dark fruits of blackberry and currants with a bit of chocolate finish. Tannins are nice and mellow.
I think wine is near the end of it's drinking window. Went well with salmon dinner.
