Community Tasting Notes 1

  • Jyri Tynkkynen Likes this wine: 90 points

January 28, 2017 - Nose: Pleasant honey and bee wax-like tones with ripe lemons and fresh mineralilty. Not a hint of petroleum.
Taste: Not too dry, slightly matured, fruity, ripe Riesling-like-lemons with pronounced acidity and some minerality. The fruityness/sweetness balances the acids in a near-perfect harmony. Initially some "toasted birch tree leave"-like* bitterness, which fades away when the wine warms up a bit.
Pleasant, no-nonsense wine. Slightly old school in a nice way. Might age well a little bit longer.

*) If you've ever been to a real Finnish sauna, you know what I mean. ;)
