September 20, 2014 - This is the "Proprietary Red" of Roth Estate. I admit I like Sonoma wines. I like the proverbial "Sonoma dust," the slight dust flavour you can taste in the background. You can detect it even in some white wines. This wine is rich on the nose, like a Napa Cab. The taste is balanced and good. Very good (86.5-87.5).

January 31, 2014 - Darker core with bright garnet rim; plush, vanilla, blackberry, plum; sweeter fruit, vanilla, blueberry, good density, enough acidity to maintain balance; more modern style; crowd pleaser.

November 13, 2013 - 36/25/16/15/5/3 Zin/Malbec/Merlot/Petite Sirah/Cabernet/Syrah. 24 months 50% new French oak. Nose shows raspberry, molasses, dark cherry, spiced raspberry. Palate is like a chocolate covered raspberry! Milk chocolate, raspberry, strawberry, juicy cherry, this could be accused of fruit bomb status, though that term seems negative and doesn't need to be. Crowd pleasing wine, worth a try if you like this fun style.
