August 4, 2019 - Well stored w/bright crimson color, medium nose. Mid-weight Blackberry/cherry/plum palate, with elegant satisfying fairly long finish. Everything's well resolved and and in balance. Still at peak

July 22, 2019 - Dark fruit, heat. Blackberry and blueberry. Polished and seductive, but no grape typicity, stay away from this producer if you value sangiovese flavours over international appeal.

June 2, 2019 - This was seamlessly elegant. Red cherry and dusty leather. Damn!

May 18, 2019 - 18 years old. Still deep red. Edges show no signs of brown or aging yet. Nose is a bit muted. Mouthful is very full. Sweet plum, Asian spices. Acidity is very low. Finish is long and tannins still there but in a pleasant manner. As it opens it gains some funk and black licorice. Very enjoyable but definitely not going to get better so drink up!

March 8, 2019 - Closing in on 18, this was in peak shape. A really nice combination of blackberry, underbrush and mint. Still tannic in it’s backbone, we see a bit of drying, pepper, blueberry, nice acidity and a bit of chalk. I’d drink now but I’m guessing it’s still got some life. The only caution is those tannins which are still prominent in the mouth.
