Community Tasting Notes 6

February 28, 2009 - Ed Kurtzman Dinner - His Favs and His (Casa Murray): Nose is a bit odd but eventually the nail polish VA was hard to look past. Very lean feel and tannic I think the VA was dominating this wines expression.

February 28, 2009 - Ed Kurtzman Comes to OC (Casa Murray - San Juan Capistrano, CA): Earthy and complex with refined notes of black cherries, framboise, red beets, clay, and wood smoke. Like the Fort Ross, this wine was polished and seamless and very appealing. WOTF and tied for WOTN. 93-94 points.

February 28, 2009 - Ed Kurtzman Comes To Dinner (The Murray Casa): Tasted last night and retasted again this AM. Cinnamon and brown spices on the nose. Black and blue fruit, clove and what I noted this AM, a little bit of cherry tomatoe (which I did not get last night). Riper side of things.

November 27, 2008 - Really beautiful wine with perfect balance and drinking in a sweet spot right now. Lighter in color but not lacking at all in flavors but comes across the palate very fine and what do you know even pinot like! A complete wine from the nose to the finish, this is one worth seeking out.

May 15, 2008 - Delicious strawberries and raspberries on the nose and palate with hints of Asian spice. Tasty sour cherries on the long finish with nicely balanced acidity.
