January 26, 2016 - Lovely wine. Perfectly balanced. Very Barolo-ish, but then it is the same grape. Perhaps a bit less tannic. Highly recommended

February 8, 2014 - It took me a while to figure out what had happened to this bottle, as I have not experienced this flaw very often. This bottle must have been cooked for some time at an exceeding high storage temperature. After careful inspection of the labels, it did appear that there were stains that may have come from other bottles that fared even more poorly than this one. One of my co-tasters described this wine as sherry-like, which is not too far from the truth. However, the oxidation pretty much covered up any elegance or beauty in this wine.
