December 30, 2014 - I had heard for a wine in a box this drinkable so I thought I would give it a shot.
Only $5 for a 3 glass box. Why not.
A lot of perfume on the nose. Even a slight chemical smell. Maybe some kirsch and strawberries. It smells like artificial wood (possibly liquid oak flavor added).
Not much else going on. Short finish.
So ultimate question. Is it good or is it drinkable?
No and yes.
It's not good but it is drinkable. You could probably power through some of this after a few bottles of better wine. Or if your on a budget. It's definitely way better than 2 buck chuck (which I wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole, but that's just me). I was able to put back a glass of it and not make a face like I had been punched.
I respect what they are trying to do here and make something palatable for a very inexpensive price.
I wouldn't personally buy it again but if my budget restricted me as such I could drink it. I could see this being very popular with the under $10 per bottle competition. -

April 5, 2014 - The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium. The wine has linear texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. Fine for an everyday wine. I bought this to keep us from drinking our fine wine so quickly.

January 3, 2014 - I am rating this wine as a reasonably priced everyday wine for those who drink wine everyday with their meals. I paid 4.99 for a 3-glass sampler box. This wine was enjoyed with a lunch of dark salad greens, dry sausage, and soft-ripened cheese. This wine was surprisingly nice for the price and complemented the rich elements of the meal nicely. This wine would not be as pleasant as a stand-alone. A berry-tannic beginning with a peppery-acidic end. The wine feels light in the mouth and has a very short finish.
