January 7, 2021 - decanted 3 hours. plum, cherries, aged balsamic, classic LDH cellar notes, spices, and rocks. in a nice spot right now. I prefer both the 04 and 06 to this but as alway a very nice wine

👀 Ce vin a une robe rouge tuile foncée. Sa jambe est courte.
👃🏻 Il a un nez intense de boîte à cigares et de poivres.
👄 En bouche, l’intensité disparaît, l’âge a fait son œuvre. Il est particulièrement doux et soyeux. Les tanins sont entièrement fondus. Il ne reste que la saveur!

-med acidity provides nice verve, med weight tangy focused dark fruit minerality and a faintly smoky sweet oak kissing the med tannins on the moderately long finish
-not very dense but rather elegant, on a nice plateau now -

September 11, 2020 - Minimal sediment, but the last 1oz (filtered due to a very slight haze) was a bit bitter. 1 hour in: medium-deep ruby, youthful color; black cherry, savory with some umami and soy; palate is medium bodied, 13.5% alcohol but seems a touch higher, medium acidity, red fruited but lacking depth; finish is medium length. A lovely food wine, but this didn't get to the next level for me, at least yet. 88
3 hours: Integrated better, but still a bit of excess alcoholic warmth on the palate. A good wine, but not a great one.
