September 29, 2021 - Powerful, pure, deep, focused. I didn't take any notes, but I was really enamoured by this bottle. This is clearly still young for a Grand Cru, but it is wide open & all the parts seem integrated & in harmony....With more time, I'm sure it will develop greater complexity & tertiary flavours, but it is so good now, I don't fancy my other bottle's chances of lasting that long. By far the best Corton I have drunk & another gorgeous bottle of 2010 Burgundy - what a great vintage !
Bought last month in Paris for €60 something - so much for 'the land of expensive disappointments' this is really quite magnificent.
While it's already drinking with a lot of generosity & intrigue, this is still a young wine & the current drink dates to 2025 are misleading, this has the intensity & balance to go for decades yet. Must get to know this producer better 94 +1 person found this helpful Comments (4)
